Ecotourism in the Alto Tajo
About us
SENTIR EL ALTO TAJO
was created with the idea that we could build a positive ecotourism model, respectful of the environment, involving local people and the region’s heritage, leaving destinations better than we found them.

Why trust us?
Because we love the environment
Because we love the paradise we live in and we share that passion with our visitors, engaging all five senses and inspiring them to fall in love with this area so they will want to return again and again.
Because we are mountain and nature guides
We are environmental educators, nature and heritage interpreters, leisure activity instructors and directors, all qualified and continuously trained, with many years of experience in tourism and the natural, artistic, historical and cultural heritage sector in our country.
Because we customise activities
One of our core principles is tailoring activities to each group. We are all different, so we design each experience together with you, adapting it to age, characteristics, abilities and preferences.
Our aim is for you to leave in love with the Alto Tajo and all its wonders, which we interpret for you through stories, workshops, aromas, tastes, sounds and many more surprises.
From the National Rural Network (Directorate-General for Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-food Training of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food), our project has been awarded and included in its promotion through publications and audiovisual content on YouTube and on the RRN website as a model of good practice in rural entrepreneurship.
In 2021, our project won first prize in the 1st Edition of the Women Entrepreneur Awards of Guadalajara.
In 2022, we received a special mention in the Regional Environmental Awards of Castilla-La Mancha.
All our activities follow the principle of REGENERATIVE ECOTOURISM: ecotourism based on co-creation with the local communities you visit, promoting a sustainable way of travelling and discovering places.
Its main goal is for visitors to have a positive impact on their holiday destinations, leaving them better than they found them. A concept that goes beyond “doing no harm” and aims at active regeneration and revitalisation of the environment, producing positive outcomes for local communities and economies: sustainable regeneration.
